Therese is a wide-eyed, talented, young photographer struggling to learn the true essence of art and beauty. One day, Therese encounters Calvin and, overwhelmed with emotions, she captures photographs of him from afar.
As Calvin reaches closer to death, the only memories of him rest in Therese and her camera.

Directors Statement
A contemporary interpretation of neorealism. Lens is a story about the power of photography to capture emotions beyond our eyes. The film follows the intersecting lives of two strangers, revealing how their interactions shape one another's existence. Through the use of non-actors and on-location shooting, aimed to craft a genuine and empathetic narrative that resonates with audiences
In striving for authenticity, particular care was taken in portraying the character of Calvin, a homeless individual. To ensure a faithful representation, I immersed myself in the community by volunteering at the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation and engaging with the disadvantaged. I was fortunate enough to have a story consultation with Rev. Bill Crews, who has worked with disadvantaged people for over 50 years. During this conversation, two ideas for the character of Calvin stood out to me most: sincere compassion and sorrow. Whilst all disadvantaged people are different and experience varying emotions, these ideas formulate the backbone of the character of Calvin and the heart of my story.
